Concerto for Two Violins and Orchestra was written for
Jackson Heights Community Orchestra ( New York) and
two outstanding soloists, Julia Meynert-Guarino and John Guarino.
The piece received First prize and People's Choice award, being chosen out of 106
scores submitted for Andrey Petrov Symphony Music Composers' Competition in St. Petersburg, Russia.
"PAAZER'E" for three folk singers and orchestra (2011)
Unique combination of traditional Belarusian folk singing and sound of classical contemporary orchestra made this piece stand out on a day of its premier on March 2, 2023 in Minsk, Belarus.
The idea was inspired by Belarus pagan custom of "Calling For Spring", where girls get on hills and ask Spring to come.
Folk tunes used in this work are at least 1,000 years old. They originate from the Northern part of Belarus called "Paazer'e", land by the lake
"NIMMERGEKOMMENER" for soprano, organ and orchestra. Symphony in six movements (1998/1999)
Poetry by Rainer Maria Rilke, Elsa Lasker-Schüler, Paul Zelan.
This work was written as a graduation composition at the famed St-Petersburg conservatory.
Inspiration came from profound poetry by Austrian and German poets of the beginning of the 20th century.
